Emergency care is the treatment of unexpected, severe medical injuries or infections. It is typically delivered in an emergency room or an ambulance. Our emergency medicine physicians stabilize your condition as quickly as possible to prepare you for the next step of care or discharge.

Services provided in our emergency department
Our emergency medicine physicians are able to treat both major and minor injuries or infections, as well as more serious, life-threatening conditions, such as a stroke or heart attack.
Level II Trauma Center
Our emergency department is home to the only Level II Trauma Center in East Ventura County. We’re fully equipped to provide specialized and experienced multispecialty services that require dedicated and immediate treatment.
If you are arriving by helicopter or ambulance, you will be immediately treated by our trauma team working in conjunction with the on-site emergency medical services (EMS) team to ensure treatment begins as soon as possible.
Pediatric emergency care
Our emergency department offers compassionate emergency treatment to children and young adults. A care plan is tailored to your young one's unique needs, including those with disabilities. We are the only emergency room in Eastern Ventura County with an EDAP (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics) rating, meaning we have the specialized equipment and training to treat your little ones.
We also have a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for critically ill newborns. If your newborn requires specialty care, we can help treat them when they are most vulnerable and need assistance.
